YOUR RETREAT INCLUDES:

  • The Shoreline is a boutique oceanfront resort in the heart of Tofino, British Columbia, nestled among towering old-growth cedars and perched on the water’s edge. Surrounded by rich natural beauty, the property features a stunning A-frame house and two cozy A-frame cabins, embodying the ultimate cabin vibe with their late 1960s architecture.

    Drawing inspiration from the owners’ travels and passions, The Shoreline blends California boho style with Pacific Northwest cabin charm. With its modern surf-shack cool, homey comforts, and thoughtful touches, it offers a laid-back yet inspiring atmosphere. The Shoreline is the perfect cozy, private retreat for our Evolve experience.

  • Our private chef, Billie Macrae, is both a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and an experienced retreat chef. As a past attendee of our 2024 retreat in Todos Santos, Mexico, Billie truly understands the importance of providing nourishing meals that align with the overall retreat experience. She has crafted a diverse menu that balances whole, locally sourced ingredients with a focus on vegetarian and pescatarian dishes. Billie is attentive to any dietary preferences or allergies and brings a creative flair, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep commitment to serving others.

  • Daily morning and evening yoga practices: Mikaela leads a 1.5-hour “Magic Morning” Vinyasa flow that blends breathwork, meditation, and journaling, each day centered around a unique intention that carries through the rest of the day. In the evening, wind down with 75-minute sessions ranging from Yin and gentle Vinyasa to Restorative Yoga and Yin + Yoga Nidra.

  • This wood-fired remote floating sauna merges wellness and wilderness in Tofino’s backyard. The sauna is located deep within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home of Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation. We travel by boat and experience rejuvenating hot/cold cycles - soaking in the sauna, followed by an energizing plunge into the ocean. Kayaks, paddle boards, and a firepit to warm up beside. Tapping into quiet here is a lot easier in the vast solitude and stillness of Clayoquot Sound.

  • Get ready to welcome in your sense of play and wonder during our group surf lesson! Tofino is known for its incredible ocean energy and swell, making this experience a must. Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate surfer, our friends at Surf Sister will guide us through a fun and supportive group surf lesson! With 25 years of experience and a team of skilled instructors who are all seasoned surfers, Surf Sister tailors each lesson to match your skill level and learning pace.

  • My dear friend Bridget, co-owner of The Shoreline and a skilled yoga and breathwork instructor, will guide us through a powerful evening breathwork journey. This session is designed to quiet the busy mind and help us connect with the sensations and wisdom of the body. Through gradually deepening our breath and increasing oxygen flow, we’ll tap into a meditative state and welcome in a sense of inner calm.

  • Mikaela will lead a 45-minute afternoon Pilates class (with resistance bands) designed to activate deep muscle groups, synchronize movement with breath, and energize the entire body!

  • Goodies:

    You’ll receive an Evolve journal and pen along with a welcome swag bag featuring something exciting and perfectly in line with the Tofino vibe! Yoga mats and Pilates props will be available for your use during our retreat.

    Explore:

    During your free time, feel free to explore the nearby town, just a 5-minute walk away, or take a stroll along the stunning beaches and forest trails. Mikaela and her retreat assistant (aka her lovely mom) will have two cars available to shuttle small groups for those who wish to explore together.

    Recharge:

    The Shoreline offers amenities like a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor shower, all available for you to enjoy during your downtime!

NOT INCLUDED:

  • Your travel to Tofino is not included in the retreat cost. Mikaela will create a WhatsApp group two months prior to the retreat to help coordinate communication and carpooling (driving + ferry) for those interested.

    For those flying with Harbour Air, The Shoreline is just a short 10-minute walk away from the seaplane landing dock! If you’re flying Pacific Coastal, shuttle services from the airport will bring you directly into town.

  • Massage appointments will be available during downtime on a first-come, first-served basis, taking place in the cozy upper nook of the main A-Frame house.

Inspired by surf shacks, this suite has a retro laid back vibe. Includes a private deck area, waterfront views, full kitchen, full bath and a queen bed.  This is the lower level of A-frame cabin 1.

  • We are dedicated to making Evolve Retreats a welcoming space for everyone, whether you’re a solo traveler or coming with a friend, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or completely new to the practice. Our aim is to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and inspiring experience for those who want to delve into “living yoga” both on the mat and in everyday life. We practice movement (asana), meditation (dhyāna), breathwork (pranayama), guided journaling (svadhyaya), and come together for group circles and ceremonies. We also embrace fun and adventure through curated group activities and excursions, connecting with the local community and the natural beauty of our surroundings.

  • Tofino experiences a blend of sunshine and rain almost year-round, so packing layers will be key! Think long sleeves, t-shirts, zip-up sweaters, cozy hoodies, and activewear that’s comfortable for both movement and working up a sweat. Don’t forget your swimsuit, a reliable rain jacket, sunglasses, trail-ready shoes that can handle a bit of mud, and sandals for those more relaxed moments.

    A small backpack and water bottle is good to have for offsite adventures.
